Who We Are

Our Mission Statement: To spread the Good News to all through joyful worship and service, so that others may believe and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our Redeemer Lives!

Our Redeemer Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA has over 4 million members and 10,000 congregations within the United States. To find out more about the ELCA you can visit www.ELCA.org

We also seek to develop committed followers of Christ. We teach the 10 commandments as the basis for our moral conduct, and we teach the command of Jesus: Love God with all your heart, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. This forms the core of our Christian ethic.

Lutherans also believe that our behavior is grounded in “because…therefore.” Because we believe that we have experienced unearned grace and forgiveness from God, and because God has promised us resurrection of the body and eternal life…therefore we serve God and our neighbor, and seek to live lives that are gracious, forgiving, and generous to others.

Worship at Our Redeemer Church is a joyful celebration of God’s love to us.

Service to the community is an important part of our mission. We distribute thousands of bags of groceries each year through our weekly Saturday morning food giveaway. We serve with a homeless program (S.H.I.P. Self Help Interfaith Program) in a home owned by our church providing dinners and lunch supplies several times a year. We support numerous projects internationally that help people in need: Compassion International (we have over 100 children we support), ELCA World Hunger, Lutheran Disaster Response, and many more. Our grief group is open to all in the community.

ALL are welcome!
